Parent/Volunteer Pledge

I will teach all children to play fair and do their best.

I will positively support all managers, coaches and players.

I will respect the decisions of the umpires.

I will praise a good effort despite the outcome of the game.

Beaver Creek Rules
BEAVER CREEK L.L. 2016

Pinch Runner = You may pinch run for each player only once per game and only one pinch runner per inning. Any player not in the game may be a pinch runner.

Coaches & Umpires meet before each game and go through rules (time limits or 6 inn. Games, ten run rule in effect or not, check on any special rules in each town, is infield fly rule in effect, etc.)

If you have any questions during a game, ask the umpire for help, do not argue. Umpire's rulings are final. Let umpires behind the plate know they are in charge.

Juniors may have 15 year olds on team, however, they are not eligible to pitch, catch or tourney play.

Tournament of Champions dates TBD June 27 start proposed and sites to be determined. Fee is $75 per team and will be paid by city of participating team.

District 3 All-Stars tentatively to start July 1 with sites to be determined. Presidents in Granger, Madrid and Woodward need to bring their check books to All-Star mtng. All fees due league and expenses associated with teams shall be paid prior to mtng. Any town not paying shall be left out of the All-star election process. All three towns share in B.C. All-Star fees.

Rookies (7&8 year olds) suggest using machine pitch during games. There will be a limited amount of pitches thrown to each batter. Maximum of 5 strikes. If batter is not swinging then coach needs to call strikes, no walks. Rookies 1st inn. Will bat roster. Remainder of game will be roster or 3 outs, whichever comes first. Rookies may play more than 9 players if coaches agree. Extra players should be placed in outfield. Rookies use RIF (Reduced Injury Factor) baseballs. Rookies time limit 1:15.

T-Ball time limit 1:00 (use t-ball softies)

Minors play minimum of 4 inn. & maximum of 1:45 (Beaver Creek home games only)!

2008 RULE CHANGE FOR MINORS, (5 RUN LIMIT PER INN. NO EXCEPTIONS)

IN 2009 BATS WILL NEED TO HAVE THE (BPF) RATING ON THEM. Exc. Jr. & SR.

Pitching records for Min, Maj, and Jrs. Opposing coaches should share info before games (Name, Player Number & Eligibility). BE AWARE OF NEW 2008 RULES REGARDING NO. OF PITCHES THROWN AND REST REQUIRED FOR PITCHERS. PITCHER MOVING TO CATCHER AND CATCHER MOVING TO PITCHER. Continuous batting order is MANDATORY in 2008 for MINORS!

Volunteer apps & back ground checks need to be completed. Rosters filled out and sent L.L.H.Q.

All-Stars--over all Record. (all games played between B.C.--Perry) coaches will make every effort to play all games. In case of a tie, a one game playoff will be held.

Coaches of league champs will have first choice to coach All-Stars. If unable to coach then 2nd etc. All-Star players will be chosen by majority vote of coaches. If try outs are used then unattached voters will be used. Players will be rated by number of votes. If a selected All-Star is unavailable for the tourney or is injured, the highest vote getter of non selected players shall be asked to participate and so on.

Beaver Creek may have 5 all-Star teams (9 year olds, 10 year olds, 11 year olds, Maj. & Jrs.) if numbers allow.

Don't forget, Break away Bases rule. Use competent umpires. GOOD LUCK!
